I love our family photos from May! lets give a little family update shall we?
Brent: he likes being Bishop and I quite like it too. It makes church feel more interesting sometimes and also the ward feels more like a family to me. In addition I think people are extra nice to me because of it. lol. he is gone a little more than I'd like, but its very bearable. he always helps his mom with computer and financial stuff and it so kind doing it. he read all the saints church books and took twitter off his phone. but perhaps replaced it with cougar board. he does yoga sometimes now and my dancer self is so pleased.
Me: a friend of mine sent me a watercolor postcard in the mail. and it was so lovely. it made me buy some more paper and get a used book from this magical secondhand bookstore about watercoloring. we've been sending some watercolor postcards back and forth and i've loved it. (this was a few months ago, but it was a good time). I recently deep cleaned brent's office and im really proud of how it turned out. I also recently started learning how to cook steak and have been practicing. I saw a short video on instagram that made it look so easy and delicious.
Ella: starting 7th grade on wednesday. she's walking to school! she has a phone! I found a list on her phone of what to do the night before school starts. such an inspirational planner she is. she taught young womens last week about Job and how trials make you stronger and she did so well. she's always planning get togethers with her friends and she's so cool. she always wants to be dropped off at Tooele's new shopping outlet strip (always to buy squishies. they are all the rage the last month or two. five below, ulta, hobby lobby, tj maxx.) she loves a good skincare and makeup routine.
Lucy: starting 4th grade. into mario kart video games and horses lately. when I tell her to stop playing on the nintendo switch she snuggles up on the couch with one of her books that she re reads several times and still loves. her hair is so dark and rich and she usually asks me to braid before she goes to sleep so it doesn't get all tangled. I love doing it. her two friends were in a local play, the chocolate chip nightmare, and lucy went to see it two times. what a loyal and wonderful friend she is.
Jude: saying so many things:
fish, horse, I love you very much (I heard him say this to a barbie and give her two kisses. my sweet boy), Ella, Lucy, most of their friend's names as well- he adores their friends, help please, where the remote?, dress, where are you?, lots of animal names and noises, he'll ask to watch this specific episode of ms. rachel about farm animals by calling it, "ee I ee I o" because she sings old mcdonald had a farm. Jude is such a dear. he is always wanting to play barbies. he'll say bye to people when they leave unsolicited. I tried to potty train him, but it failed. next time.
