WALKING TOUR #2 St. Paul's

Walk number 2 was around St. Paul's Cathedral. Loved this one. Lovely photos via Kaylee (in the purple jacket)
Here's St Pauls himself... though the south side
as opposed to the west front.

While on the walk, we stopped into another church designed by Christoper Wren called St. Brides Church on Fleet Street. I talked about this a bit in a previous post... the church was built upon old Roman foundations from the 11th century. The 11th century. One more time, the 11th century.
Down in the crypt, they even had a mini chapel to hold services down there. That was new one. Looked a little creepy to me!

On this walk, we saw Samuel Johnson's house which has been made into a museum. He wrote the first English descriptive dictionary. The receptionist was kinda chatty about him and said that he was known to have an opinion on everything.
